We’re all haunted by something.

Memories, guilt, regrets, losses, illness, expectations, failures.

If you like gothic ghost stories, folklore and myth, archaeology, folk horror and sitting in graveyards musing about the way the past shapes and haunts the present, then maybe we’re kindred spirits.

I hope you’ll walk this misty path with me. I’d like that. It gets lonely sometimes.

* Join me for supernatural short stories and novellas, essays, zines, and illustrations that explore the liminal spaces and moody places. *

A bit about me:

  • studied creative writing at Sarah Lawrence College

  • did my Master’s Thesis on Neolithic archaeology

  • favorite ghost movie: The Haunting (1963)

A little more detail about what you’ll get:

I write neo-gothic fiction that explores the intersection between the natural and the supernatural, the present and the past. I’m interested in characters who need to face their pasts in order to move forward. I want to understand how our memories create, and feed, our ghosts.

You might also get illustrations and passionate ramblings from me on topics such as: ancient art and archaeology, folklore and myth, folk horror, plants and insects. Any of my interests that influence my creative projects, really.

I’ll be using Substack to share my writing, personal projects, zines, and more experimental illustration work. (You can see my more “professional” art portfolio on IG @grousygirl)
